Join us at Tenby South Beach for sea kayaking and paddleboarding adventures on one of Tenby’s most spacious beaches. From spring to autumn we run a range of sessions here, including beginner-friendly taster sessions, guided tours and Seal Safaris, with advance booking recommended.

Where to find us on the beach

Paddle Pembrokeshire presence at Tenby South Beach

You’ll usually find our branded gazebo and flag next to the ramp leading from the car park onto the beach. Our team will be wearing branded clothing, or wetsuits and buoyancy aids while running sessions.

How to book

Most of our activities can be booked online in advance, which is the best way to secure your place. Our website accepts all major debit and credit cards.

 

If you’re planning ahead, we recommend booking in advance – but during our seasonal beach operation we can often take walk-up bookings too. Availability depends on the day’s schedule, weather and tides. We accept contactless payments by card or mobile phone, as well as cash payments.

About Tenby South Beach

Tenby South Beach is a two-kilometre long beach backed by sand dunes. A regular Blue Flag award winner for water quality, and watched over by RNLI lifeguards, it is popular for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. Facing Caldey Island, and with views towards St. Catherine’s Island, it has a more open, spacious feel than Tenby’s other beaches.

Walking from town centre:

Walk along the Esplanade, past St Catherine’s Island, with the sea on your left side. At the end of the Esplanade you will see South Beach below you, with a walkway leading down to it.

By bus:

Most routes arrive at the main bus terminal on South Parade SA70 7JD (5-10 minute walk to South Beach). Services include the 351, 381 and 349.
