Frequently asked questions
The quickest and easiest way is to book any activity is on our website. You can also call us on 07700 144321, although as we are on the water a lot we might not be able to respond straight away. Where dates are set to meet your requirements, such as private lessons or family tasters, you can make a 'booking request' online, and we will confirm by email or call you to arrange.
Activities taking place from Tenby South Beach can also be booked in person, subject to availability.
Yes! This is to ensure that we have the necessary information to keep you safe on the water, and to match you with the appropriate equipment.
Yes, they do. For under-18's these should be completed by a parent or guardian (whether or not the parent/guardian is also participating in the activity).
Sea Kayaks have an oval shaped 'cockpit' which you sit inside, and your legs are completely covered by the front deck. More experienced paddlers wear a 'spray deck' or 'spray skirt' which attaches to the cockpit forming a watertight seal. Sea Kayaks are typically longer and narrower than Sit-on-Top Kayaks - because of this they are usually faster but less stable. Our Sea Kayaks have padded seats, hip pads and back bands, with some adjustability for comfort, as well as adjustable footrests. They also have two sealed hatches for storing equipment and keeping it dry.
Sit-on-Top Kayaks have a completely open cockpit which you sit on, and your legs are exposed to the elements. They are extremely stable and buoyant, and very easy to control. There are multiple points built into the deck for you to position your feet. Our fleet has padded seats and full height padded backrests, with multiple adjustment points for comfort. There is an area at the back of the kayak to secure bags or equipment but this is open to the elements. To keep your kit dry, we provide customers on tours, trips and training courses with a dry bag.
