What to expect

Experience the joy of paddling and wildlife encounters along the rugged Pembrokeshire coast. Routes are carefully chosen to match the weather, tides, and the group’s skill level. Expect to paddle some of Pembrokeshire’s most beautiful locations on the west or south coast, exploring caves, dramatic rock formations, hidden beaches, surf, and ocean swells. Who is this adventure for? This trip is perfect for those who paddle fairly regularly, but is not suitable for complete beginners. If this is your first time paddling on the sea, we will give you tips and techniques to help you get acclimatised quickly. To join, you should have: - Good control over your board - Ability to stand whilst paddling - Confidence with falling into the water and being able to get back on to your board - A reasonable level of fitness (expect to paddle for 4-6 hours) What’s Included: - Equipment: Paddleboard, paddle, buoyancy aid, helmet, leash, waistbelt, and drybag are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own gear, for a reduced rate, provided it is seaworthy. What’s Not Included: - Clothing: Wear clothing appropriate for the conditions (including footwear), bring a towel and a complete change of clothing for afterwards. You can hire a summer wetsuit from us for a small additional fee, we recommend wearing a rash top/thermal rash top underneath on cooler days. - Accommodation: There are usually plenty of available options to suit a range of budgets. - Meals: Bring a packed lunch, snacks, hot drink and water for a full day on the water. Route and Logistics: - We need to be flexible about the route so we can respond to weather conditions. We will have a good idea of the location 5 days ahead, and will confirm the meeting point at least 24 hours beforehand. Typically this will be anywhere from Tenby on the south coast, to Broad Haven on the west coast. - A WhatsApp group will be set up for planning, updates, and sharing photos from your adventure.
